So the purpose of doing the Wonder Woman, Gigi and Christmas Card painting was to get my hand comfortable with the paintbrush again. I feel good! Now I'm ready to tackle on a bigger project. It's called "Panda and the Hula Girls." It is inspired by the beautiful gradient lighting from Disneyland's enchanted Tiki Room. I love the gradation of colors and just the "over the top" fun in that room!
The images you see below are my drawings scanned and put together in photoshop. I like to "over prepare" by doing a photoshop painting just to figure things out. Its much harder to solve color problems with actual paint. The third "gallery" shows influences for color reference.
The final painting will be 18" x 24" on Gessoboard! So excited!! =)
