Yesterday Tom and I finally agreed upon an idea for our Christmas card. It would be of Panda skiing away from the Yetti monster after having stolen a secret device. I wanted something spy related and rated G. Tom drew the card last night and I spent most of today painting it. I worked from 2:30 pm to 1:30 am. I am happy with how it's going...
I insisted to hand paint this card because I want to get my hand comfortable with painting again. When I work too long digitally, I lose confidence that My hand is good enough to manipulate a real paint brush. Also mixing colors manually is so much more work than digitally.
My goal for now is to recommit myself to painting. It's so freeing and I have so many ideas for paintings I want to do.
